Dr. Girgis’ expertise spans comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and management of ocular diseases, always emphasizing patient education. During her time at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Dr. Girgis completed her rotation with an emphasis in pediatrics and binocular vision. At the Lyons Veterans Affair Medical Center, she diagnosed and treated a wide range of conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal vascular disease, and neuro-ophthalmic diseases. Dr. Girgis also collaborated closely with ophthalmologists to deliver exemplary pre- and post-operative care for those undergoing cataract surgery.
Dr. Emi Girgis completed her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, majoring in biological sciences with a minor in nutrition. Her journey continued at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, where she cultivated a passion for delivering exceptional eye care and graduated with cum laude honors. During her time at PCO, Dr. Girgis participated as an active member of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society and served as member and Vice President of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.

Dr. Girgis is a fluent conversant in Arabic and an intermediate conversant in Spanish.
